Quality and the Environment

Normative and standards applicable to the product and the business

ThyssenKrupp Elevadores has set high Quality and Environmental requirements. These are achieved through a system that does not allow for uncontrolled actions.

The system is based on the UNE-EN-ISO-9001/2000 Quality standard, the UNE-EN-ISO-14001/2004 Environmental standard and the 95/16/EC European Lift Directive for the Design and Production of Lifts and their Safety Components.

Compliance with the System is guaranteed through annual internal and external audits. The external audits are carried out by AENOR and compliance is proven by the following certificates.

Commitment to Quality and the Environment

ThyssenKrupp Elevadores supports Quality and the Environment as key factors in maintaining competitiveness. It has therefore targeted its Policy at meeting the following objectives:
  • Ensure that all products meet customer expectations through compliance with the Quality established in terms of customer requirements, applicable standards and delivery times.
  • Ensure that the products and activities required for them to be met comply with Environment conservation criteria.
The Company management therefore agrees to:

  • Inform all staff of the Policy and ensure they understand it through the internal communication procedures established.
  • Regularly review the Policy to ensure its continuous adaptation to the present technical, legal and social environment.
  • Comply with current Legislation and, through the System, go beyond its strict compliance.
  • Ensure the availability of the necessary resources and means.
  • Use resources rationally.
  • Reduce the generation of waste, dumping, emissions and negative environmental impact.
  • Promote the training, skills and awareness of all staff.
  • Know and bear in mind the needs and expectations of customers to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Establish objectives, goals and reviewing of its compliance to ensure Continuous Improvement.
  • Regularly review the Policy to ensure its continuous adaptation to the present technical, legal and social environment.
The Management agreement, the objectives and goals and the system as a whole are documented and distributed by internal communications. The main processes with their interaction are suitably defined in this documentation, along with the duties and responsibilities of the entire organisation.
